Prudence Mupeni Daka-Chisakuta is Chief Human Resources Officer at Konkola Copper Mines (KCM), where she provides strategic leadership for the Company’s people agenda in support of its growth and operational objectives.
With over 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience in the mining industry, Prudence’s expertise spans labour and employee relations, organisational development, talent management, workforce planning, change management, executive leadership and corporate governance. She has held several senior positions at KCM, including General Manager – Employee and Industrial Relations, HR Manager – Corporate, Head Human Resources and Manager – Training and Development.
She has led major organisational transformation initiatives, strengthened labour relations in complex unionised environments, and advanced leadership development, succession planning and human capital practices. She also serves as Board Chairperson of the KCM Pension Trust Fund and has served on the boards of Mulonga Water and Sanitation Company and the Teaching Service Commission’s Human Resources Committee.
Prudence holds a BA in Education from the University of Zambia and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Cambridge International College, where she graduated with Distinction. She is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management and has completed executive programmes in Organisation Development and Conflict Management.
