Elizabeth Sakeni is Group Manager of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at Konkola Copper Mines (KCM), where she leads the strategic implementation of safety, health and environmental programmes across KCM’s operations in Zambia. She plays a key role in maintaining high safety standards while advancing environmental stewardship and responsible mining practices.

As a member of KCM’s senior management team, Elizabeth engages with international stakeholders and has represented the company during high-level visits, including World Bank delegations seeking to understand KCM’s operations and strategic positioning within Zambia’s mining sector.

Her responsibilities also extend to community engagement and corporate social responsibility, where she has championed youth development, education and sports initiatives across mining communities. Elizabeth also represents KCM at company and community events, including school mission partnerships, community empowerment programmes and sports sponsorships, reflecting the company’s commitment to holistic community development.
