Overview
CopperTech’s approach to growth is grounded in responsible operations, strong safety practices, environmental stewardship, and long-term community partnerships. Across our sites, ESG principles are embedded into daily operations, guiding how we reduce environmental impact, protect our workforce, and engage meaningfully with communities.
Our ESG framework reflects our commitment to transparent governance, and sustained investment in people, infrastructure, and the environment. We take pride in the communities and land where we operate, translating that commitment into long-term support through annual community investment of approximately $20 million. Together, these efforts create lasting value for our employees, communities, and society.

Our Initiatives
Responsible environmental stewardship is fundamental to how we operate. We manage our environmental footprint with a focus on minimizing impact while maintaining operational performance and long-term resilience. Our key efforts are centered on improving air quality, responsible water management, protecting biodiversity and landscapes, effective waste management, and enhancing energy efficiency.
In practice, we reduce potential pollution through monitoring and preventive controls, use freshwater more efficiently through reuse and treatment to international standards, and take a lifecycle approach to assessing and mitigating impacts on biodiversity and landscapes. Waste is managed in line with approved environmental plans as well as the Global Industry Standards for Tailings Management (GISTM), while continuous improvements in energy and carbon performance are driven by best practices and clean energy investments. Together, these efforts support sustainable operations and the responsible use of natural resources across our sites.

Strong community partnerships are integral to how we operate and grow. We engage with communities thoughtfully, aligning our social investments to local development priorities and focus on initiatives that create lasting value.
Our community investments are supported by an annual investment of approximately $20 million and focus on education, health, sports, and sustainable livelihoods. In education, we support early childhood learning, strengthen government school infrastructure, reinforced through four schools that expand access to education and scholarships. Sports and cultural programs complement these efforts by promoting participation, inclusion, and community engagement. Health and wellbeing initiatives focus on clean water and sanitation, through an integrated Community Development Project, alongside access to healthcare through eight clinics and two hospitals. We also support sustainable livelihoods through skills development and cluster-based programs for self-help groups and cooperatives in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
Together, these efforts contribute to long-term community development, support local participation and resilience, and help maintain the social license required for sustainable operations.

Strong governance underpins our approach to safety, accountability, and risk management across the business. Safety oversight is embedded within our governance framework and applies across a workforce of approximately 15,000 employees and business partners, supported by a formal ISO 45001:2018–certified Safety Management System, including migration from OHSAS:2008.
Key safety performance indicators are monitored across business units and reported longitudinally, with incidents such as MTIs, FAIs, and high-potential events (HIPOs) systematically tracked.
